The first convention of the Kirat Rai Yayokkha Regional Committee, Chiba, Japan was successfully concluded on January 18, 2026, in Yachiyo, Chiba. The convention brought together members of the Kirat Rai community residing in Chiba and surrounding areas to strengthen unity and promote their cultural identity.

The program began at 10:00 AM at Asian Restaurant Raja & Bar, Katsutada, Yachiyo City, with the participation of community members, representatives from various Kirat organizations, and well-wishers. The event emphasized the organization’s guiding principle of preserving Kirat culture, tradition, and identity among the diaspora in Japan.During the convention, discussions were held on the importance of cultural preservation, community cooperation, and the role of Kirat Rai Yayokkha in promoting traditional practices, language, and heritage among the younger generation living abroad.

The convention successfully elected a new leadership team to lead the Chiba regional committee. Suraj Rai was elected as the President of the Kirat Rai Yayokkha Chiba Branch, receiving support and congratulations from the participants.Speaking after his election, President Suraj Rai expressed gratitude to the members for their trust and commitment. He pledged to work actively with the community to strengthen organizational activities, promote Kirat culture, and expand community engagement in the Chiba region.

The organizers expressed appreciation to all participants, supporters, and volunteers who contributed to the successful completion of the historic first convention of Kirat Rai Yayokkha Chiba, Japan. The event concluded with cultural interaction and a shared commitment to preserving Kirat heritage for future generations.
