Tokyo,Japan – The Kirat Rai Sumnima Association and the Japan branch of the Kirat Rai Yayokkha have announced that they will jointly organize an online Sakela Sili training program.According to Manisha Rai, Vice President of the Sumnima Association, the training will be conducted through the online meeting platform Zoom, allowing participants to join from different locations.

The training program will run from Baisakh 5 to Jestha 16 (April 17 to May 29). Sessions will be held every Wednesday and Sunday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM (Nepal time).“The Kirat Rai Yayokkha Japan and the Kirat Rai Sumnima Association are organizing this Sakela Sili training with the aim of preserving and promoting our religion, art, culture, and traditional attire,” said Vice President Manisha Rai. She added that the training will include theoretical explanations about the characteristics, definitions, and research-based knowledge of Sakela Sili, along with practical dance training.

Participants who successfully complete the training will be awarded certificates on the closing day of the program, Rai informed.The organizers hope that the online training will help spread awareness and encourage the younger generation and diaspora communities to connect with Kirat Rai cultural traditions.
