Kirat Rai Yayokkha Japan participated with dignity in the ‘NEFIN Culture Festival’ organized by the Nepal Federation of Indigenous Nationalities (NEFIN) Japan, playing the role of a co-organizer and presenting a vibrant Sakela cultural display.

During the event, Kirat Rai Yayokkha Japan showcased the traditional Sakela Sili dance, highlighting the rich cultural heritage, identity, language, and traditions of the Kirat Rai community. Participants dressed in traditional attire performed the cultural dance, captivating the audience and adding a unique cultural charm to the festival.

The festival witnessed the active participation of representatives from various Indigenous nationalities living in Japan, along with cultural activists and members of the Nepali community. Different ethnic groups presented their traditional dances, songs, and cultural displays, reflecting Nepal’s rich cultural diversity.

As a co-organizer, Kirat Rai Yayokkha Japan played an important role in both the management of the event and the cultural presentations. Organizers expressed that such programs help strengthen unity among Indigenous communities and significant loss contribute to promoting Nepal’s cultural heritage among the international community.
The organizers also extended their gratitude to all organizations, volunteers, and participants who supported the successful completion of the festival.
