Kirat Rai Yayokkha Tokyo Successfully Organizes Student Seminar on Education, Career and Life in Japan

 The Kirat Rai Yayokkha (KRY) Regional Committee, Tokyo, Japan, organized the Student Seminar 2026 on Sunday at GoodSpace Nishi-Shinjuku 401, bringing together students, young professionals and community members for discussions on education, Japan’s rules and regulations, career development and future opportunities. The five-hour program, held from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., was hosted and moderated by Tampasher Rai.

The seminar followed a formal program format, beginning with the arrival and welcome of guests, the seating of the chairperson and distinguished guests, the singing of the Nepali national anthem and the formal opening of the event. Following the welcome remarks and introduction of the seminar’s objectives, participants attended a series of expert presentations, followed by question-and-answer sessions, open discussions and career guidance activities.

Dr. Balaram Shrestha (PhD), International Attorney General, addressed new rules and regulations in Japan and challenges that foreign students may face. Dr. Dipendra Dhakal (PhD), Research Assistant Professor at Chiba University, discussed opportunities and challenges in higher education for international students in Japan. Dr. Bikash Lamsal (PhD), Associate Professor and Principal Researcher at Waseda University, spoke about creating opportunities and developing a sustainable future in Japan through strategic career planning.

The program also included dedicated sessions on Student Career and Future Guidance, Study, Work and Career Planning in Japan, and open interaction between students and speakers. Participants discussed practical matters including Japanese business etiquette, resume and CV preparation, corporate recruitment strategies, job-application timelines and interview preparation. The sessions were complemented by breaks and opportunities for informal interaction and networking.

The latter part of the program featured remarks from KRY representatives, the chairperson, special guests and advisers, followed by a formal vote of thanks from the program coordinator. The event concluded with the distribution of certificates and tokens of appreciation, a group photograph and closing remarks by host and MC Tampasher Rai.

The seminar reflected the KRY Tokyo Regional Committee’s continuing efforts to create platforms for students and young people to access information, exchange experiences and engage with academics and professionals working in Japan. The organizers expressed appreciation to the speakers, guests, participants, volunteers and all those involved in the successful completion of the program.
