The Kirat Rai Yayokkha Japan, Tokyo Regional Committee, has announced the appointment of Mr Santosh Rai as its new vice president following a unanimous decision by the committee members.
The appointment comes after the former vice president, Mr Bishal Rai, was recently selected to serve as secretary of the Central Executive Committee of Kirat Rai Yayokkha Japan. His new role at the central level created a vacancy in the Tokyo Regional Committee, prompting the committee to appoint a successor to continue its activities and responsibilities in the region.

Kirat Rai Yayokkha Japan is a community organisation that works to preserve and promote the culture, traditions and identity of the Kirat Rai community living in Japan. Through cultural events, social activities and community engagement, the organisation seeks to strengthen unity among members of the diaspora while maintaining connections with their heritage.
In a statement released by the Tokyo Regional Committee, members expressed confidence that Mr Santosh Rai’s leadership will help further strengthen the organisation’s activities and collaboration among community members in the Tokyo area.
